The right words,
for the moments
that ask for them.

A speech worth giving, written with you in an afternoon — not agonized over for a week. You bring the people and the stories. We find the shape.

How it works

Four questions stand between
you and a finished draft.

01

Tell us the occasion

Wedding toast, eulogy, keynote, farewell. Each one carries its own weight — we start from the right place.

02

Find your voice

Heartfelt or hilarious, plainspoken or polished. We write the way you actually talk, not the way speeches usually sound.

03

Bring the specifics

The names, the inside jokes, the moment that captures them. Real details are what people remember.

04

Choose your length

A two-minute toast or a ten-minute address. Drag the dial — the price moves with it, and short is free.

Read one first

Don’t take our word for it.
Take one of our drafts.

Read the opening of each — then the whole thing, exactly as OffTheCuff wrote it. No cherry-picking, no touch-ups. This is the thing you’d be handed.

I've known Tom since we were eleven. That's more than twenty years, and in that time he's had a lot of ideas — not all of them good. There was a moped. There was a haircut in Year 9 we don't really talk about. But when he rang to say he was marrying Priya, I didn't have to think about it. That one, he got right.

The thing about Tom is that he doesn't change his mind. Ever. He once built a whole flat-pack wardrobe without looking at the instructions, because he'd decided he didn't need them. It leaned. It stood there at a bit of an angle for years, and he wouldn't hear a word against it, and he wouldn't let anyone help. That's just how he is. Once he's made his mind up, that's that.

Every one of these started as four short answers. Yours would be about someone only you know.

Write yours

Free to try

Short speeches are free, and there’s no card until you choose a longer one. You’ll always see the price — and the words — before you pay.

Your stories stay yours

We use what you tell us to write your speech, and for nothing else. Private by default, never shared.

You keep the pen

Every draft opens in an editor. Rewrite a line, ask for a change, or start again — it’s your speech, not ours.

For every occasion

Whatever you’ve been asked to say.

Pricing

You pay for length, not labor.

The longer the speech, the more there is to get right. So that’s what we charge for — by the minute.

Before you start

The questions everyone asks.

Will it sound like a robot wrote it?
That’s exactly what the questions are for. We write from your specifics — the names, the inside jokes, the one moment only you remember — in the tone you pick. Read the three drafts above: no “on this special day,” no filler anyone could have written. If a line sounds generic, it doesn’t make the cut.
Do I have to pay before I see anything?
No. Short speeches — three minutes or under — are free, with no card required. For longer ones you’ll see the exact price up front, and you’re paying for length, not for a subscription that renews.
Is it private? What happens to the things I tell you?
Your speech inputs are sent to our AI provider to generate your draft, and used for nothing else. We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t use your content to train models — and we ask our providers not to, either. Signed-in speeches stay in your library until you delete them. The full detail is on our Privacy page.
Can I change it if it’s not quite right?
Always. Every draft opens in an editor where you can rewrite any line yourself, or ask for a specific change — make it warmer, shorter, funnier, cut the third story. It’s your speech; you keep the pen the whole way.
How long does it take?
About the length of a coffee. Answer four short questions and a full draft is ready in a couple of minutes — then take as long as you like making it yours.
I’ve never written a speech before. Is that a problem?
It’s who this is for. You don’t need to know how to structure a toast or land an ending — that’s our job. You bring what you know about the person, and we find the shape.

Someone’s waiting
to hear from you.
